Firstly I’d like to wish you all a very happy new year. I hope that it’s a good one for you and that you manage to achieve whatever you set out to do.
New year is, as we know, a time for making resolutions; promises to ourselves to do something different; whether giving up a vice or starting a new activity. I can certainly see the motivational factors of making resolutions in the new year, but I tend to think that such changes can take place at any time of year. However, is that simply the old cynic coming out in me or just a shy old realist?
If I was to make a resolution, it would certainly be to continue making the most of every day and to enjoy what I have around me. Too many events recently have really highlighted the importance and fragility of life that appreciating living is such an important thing to do. Yes, there are many challenges and I won’t shy away from mentioning and discussing them in this blog, but its crucial to celebrate what is good about life and to highlight the opportunities that can be had.
We have more guest writers over the next few weeks which is fantastic. If you’d like to write for the VI talk blog in 2018 then please contact me by emailing blogs@vitalk.co.uk
Have a great 2018 – best wishes Ian.
