Sense Adventures

Sense Adventures has just run a 3 night stay at the Copper Beech House
in Great Malvern with a Winter walking break for 8 blind and visually
impaired guests together with 2 guide dogs. We spent Saturday on the
Malvern Hills in brisk, cold but clear weather. We were joined by local
geologist, Moira who share her knowledge of the Hills and brought along
some rock specimens for us to feel the embedded strata. This taxed the
lovely Sense Adventures guides as they helped Moira to load the rocks
out of her car to the table at the cafe where we took a break from our 7
mile walk. We took in the stunning peak of British camp and Moria's talk
helped us to put the landscape into context. Sunday was spent climbing
the Worcester Beacon which is the highest point of the Hills abut we
relaxed in the afternoon with a visit to the extensive parkland of
nearby national Trust House Croom park. We were treated to a private
tour of the parkland and lakes and the sun came out for us before we
visited the cafe. The Copper Beech House gave us a warm welcome from
owners Kathy and Steve and the food was quite fabulous with everything
home-made by Steve. We managed a visit to the local pub and some music
from local musician, Lis. More holidays to come so watch this space.
